Ingredients
- 1 package Love & Cornbread Sunday Supper or Sweet & Spicy Cornbread Mix, prepared according to package directions with 1 cup milk, 2 eggs, and ½ cup oil
- 2 tsp. Old Bay seasoning
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 8 frozen chicken tenders, cooked
- Hot honey
Directions
- Bake the chicken tenders according to the package directions and keep warm.
- Preheat the waffle iron to medium-high (about 75% heat).
- Stir the Old Bay into the prepared batter. Pour ½ cup batter onto the waffle iron and sprinkle with ¼ cup cheddar cheese. Cook about 5 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Top each waffle with chicken tenders and drizzle generously with hot honey.
